Our murphy beds are available in a variety of materials and finishes, both in melamine and REAL WOOD; something most of our competitors are not able to offer. Most closet companies who sell murphy beds will only build their beds out of melamine and not real wood. While we still offer melamine as a low cost option, we are proud to offer murphy beds in Oak and Maple woods in both stained and painted finishes.
Melamine is a pre-finished material, which eliminates the need for finishing and labor versus real wood. Melamine is scratch resistant, and cleans easily. Although you may choose melamine for the exterior finish of your murphy bed, the strut frame that comprises the mattress platform is always made of solid wood.

Oak is one of the REAL WOOD finishes that we offer for our murphy beds. It is a hard wood, equally as strong as the Maple that we also offer. The difference is in the texture and appearance due to the wood grain. Oak has more texture and a more visible grain that compared to Maple.

Maple is one of the REAL WOOD finishes that we offer for our murphy beds. It is a hard wood, equally as strong as the Oak that we also offer. The difference is in the texture and appearance due to the wood grain. Maple’s grain is less visible than Oak, giving a more uniform color and appearance overall.
